Julie “Jules” Scadden from Sac City, IA is a founding member of the National EMS Museum Foundation and will be speaking about the history of EMS. She may be bringing a few items from the museum to share! She has a wide variety of experience including being a volunteer ALS provider for a countywide system. Jules also was a Paramedic for a Fire Department in IA. She has been involved in education for several years. Jules is new to the New Mexico circuit and we are excited to have her at SRGEMS!
Randy Kuykendall is familiar to many NM EMS providers. Randy was active in NM for many years before making the move to Colorado where he is the EMS Bureau Chief. Randy will bring updated information on being an educator and what the means to those in the EMS Education system. He will also help us understand what it means to be an EMS supervisor. We are thrilled that Randy has agreed to be one of our presenters.

His experiences have included 6 years as an EMT working for various private ambulance services before becoming a paramedic. Currently he is the Chief Paramedic for Ouray County EMS, CO. Besides street medicine, Norm's background includes rescue and "special operations" some of which include SWAT Medic, a former Rescue Systems 1 & 2, structural collapse, instructor for the California State Fire Marshal's Office as well as a member of the San Francisco Fire Department's Surf & Cliff Rescue Teams.
