Transition to New EMT Provider Levels Planned

State EMS regulators are beginning to face the fact that the EMS Education Agenda for the Future is becoming a reality and are starting to work on the numerous tasks required for its implementation. Transition to the new education paradigm and new EMS provider levels was the hottest topic at the National Association of State EMS Officials annual meeting in Minneapolis October 30 - November 2. Region II EMS, Inc is looking to fill the full time position of Trauma Nurse Coordinator.

The Trauma Nurse Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between the EMS Bureau Regional office and the EMS Bureau trauma program section for Trauma system development within the EMS Region, utilize a variety of statistical resources and performance improvement practices including trauma registry and the state trauma performance improvement program. Evaluate the trauma system in the region and issue reports at least quarterly, as well as other duties as determined by the State Trauma Program manager and as related to the Trauma Program scope of work contained in the Region II EMS Inc. contract with the NM Dept of Health. QUALIFICATIONS: Five years experience as a Registered Nurse, Associates degree or above from an accredited college or university, Three years experience providing trauma or other critical care nursing, Valid Drivers License, and Certification in CPR, ACLS, TNCC, instructor certification preferred.

Region II EMS, Inc is looking to fill the full time position of Administrative Assistant.

The primary function of the Administrative Assistant is to provide assistance to the Region II EMS Executive Director and other staff in administration of Region II’s programs.  This assistance includes primary responsibility for customer reception, answer all calls, greet walk-ins, operate computer software MS Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook/Access), take payments (cash/check/cc), process receipts, as well as other general clerical and secretarial duties. Other required Skills:  multi-line telephone system, and Bookkeeping experience  (QuickBooks a plus).
